To Do List Manager – There’s an App for That!

Are you looking for a to do list manager? Well, there’s an app for that and finding the right tool is a very personal decision.

When looking for a to do list manager, look for one that offers great syncing and scheduling options. Other features to look for are notifications and reminders. Look for just the right mix of flexibility and features so staying organized is easy.

You will find a list of more than 50 to do list software tools at Hello Focus. This list is updated on a regular basis so check it often.

Here is a shorter list that is recommended by the readers of Lifehacker (in no particular order).

1) Google Keep – It is fast, flexible and easy to use and available on the web (for Android – sorry, iOS users). Keep is a simple syncing notepad that can keep checklists, photos and images, voice notes, and other text notes synchronized across devices and stored in the cloud.

2) Any.do – It is a sharp, good-looking mobile to-do list manager with a Chrome add-on (you will need this if you want to manage your to-dos from a desktop). It features “today,” “tomorrow,” and “later,” so you don’t get overwhelmed by dates and times.

3) Wunderlist – This is a cross-platform, desktop mobile to d0 list manager. It’s also a web app so you can work on any platform you choose. It’s simple and easy to use, has great customer support and a good-looking interface.

4) Todoist – It has been around for a long time, but has evolved in recent years into a powerful, cross-platform productivity tool.  It offers recurring tasks with fine, plain-language recurrence options. It has projects and sub-projects so you can manage daily checklists or big plans that involve lots of people. It also has understandable due dates (like “Friday at 5pm,” for example)!

5) HabitRPG – It turns your to-dos and pet projects into a game. As you cross off to-dos, you earn points and gold to spend on upgrades! Now, doesn’t that sound like work turning into fun? This productivity tool is geared towards helping you build better habits but does have to-do list features.

6) Evernote – This to do list manager is an app for your smartphone, tablet, and computer. It’s just what the name implies: an application that serves as your note taker, PDA, pocket notebook, to-do list, etc. It syncs automatically across all your devices, and across all your operating systems. Never lose another post-it note, scrap piece of paper, or notebook that has important information on it.
